Covid-19 Protocols
exhālō Spa takes the safety of its customers, staff, and community very seriously by following the COVID-19 Guidance for Personal Service Settings from Ottawa Public Health. We're happy to also report that we've already been approved COVID-Safe and "In Compliance" with Ottawa Public Health Inspectors.
Our Online Shop is available for safe curbside pickups or mail delivery. If preferred, you can also shop safely in stores by following our Covid-19 protocols outlined below. We can even pack everything for you in advance, simply call to place your order and prepay over the phone.
Thank you for supporting our local small business during this time!
General Operations
Before entering exhālō Spa, all customers and staff need to complete a symptom screening. We ask that you please do not visit if you are feeling unwell. Please note, we are currently not allowing clients to bring guests to appointments in an effort to minimize exposure.
We kindly request that you only arrive for your pre-scheduled appointment time as we've removed our waiting lounge area. If the weather permits, we have a few comfy Adirondack chairs outside for you to enjoy if needed to wait.
Mask Policy
Wearing a mask is option at exhālō Spa, however, if you would prefer your stylist or aesthetician wear a mask during your services please request so. Further, staff members have been trained on the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and have individual face shields to use as required.
Social Distancing
For your comfort and continued safety, each manicure & hair station is now set at 6+ feet apart and we've installed custom plexiglass dividers for additional separation at our pedicure stations and shampoo bar. We are also staggering customer appointments to allow adequate space to maintain physical distancing between customers and staff.
Sanitization Practices
Staff and customers can sanitize hands where complimentary hand sanitizer will be provided during your visit to ensure the safety of our community. We pride ourselves on our thorough sanitation practices before and during Covid-19. Such includes a sanitation schedule for high touch areas, equipment, professional instruments, treatment room beds, chairs, and stations. All professional instruments used are disposable when possible, or stainless steel metal that is scrubbed down with anti-bacterial soap then soaked in PRE-empt CS 20 Chemosterilant, as recommended by Ottawa Public Health. Further, all of our service spa & hair stations, along with treatment room beds and chairs, are cleaned and wiped down with PRE-empt Virox Hydrogen Peroxide Surface Disinfectant after every use.
